Ghanaian dancehall heavyweight Stonebwoy has revealed the bold personal sacrifice he made to push his music career forward, shedding light on the level of investment behind his craft.

In an interview with Kafui Dey, the award-winning artiste disclosed that he sold two of his luxury vehicles—a Range Rover and a V8—to raise funds for a concert he organised in Ho.

“I sold my Range Rover and V8 to invest in my concert in Ho,” he stated plainly.

The revelation has since stirred conversations across social media, with many fans praising Stonebwoy for putting everything on the line to deliver a successful show. For many industry watchers, it’s a clear example of the risks artistes sometimes take behind the scenes—far beyond what the public sees.

Stonebwoy, known for his consistency and strong brand over the years, continues to position himself not just as a performer but as a businessman willing to reinvest heavily into his own vision. Funding the concert himself points to a long-term strategy—building his influence, especially in regions outside the usual Accra spotlight.
While some may see it as a risky move, others believe it reflects the kind of mindset needed to stay relevant and dominant in today’s competitive music scene.

At a time when many artistes rely heavily on sponsorships, Stonebwoy’s decision stands out—it’s a reminder that sometimes, betting on yourself is the biggest move you can make in the game.
