While Christmas Day 2025 found many families gathered around tables filled with food, laughter, and celebration, a different kind of Christmas story was unfolding at Nsawam Medium Security Prison.
The Founder of Grace Mountain Ministry, Pastor Elvis Agyeman The Chief Alpharian, together with his wife, Lady Counselor Mercy Agyeman, chose to take the spirit of Christmas beyond comfort zones and into a place where hope is often scarce. Through the Alpha Humanitarian Project Initiative, the couple donated massively to inmates at the Nsawam Prison, covering both the male and female wards.

Two truckloads arrived at the facility — one filled with food items, groceries, and toiletries, and another carrying Alpha Pac Natural Mineral Water along with Pastor Elvis Agyeman’s inspirational books. But this visit was about far more than the items delivered. It was about dignity. It was about compassion. And most importantly, it was about reminding inmates that they are not invisible and they have not been forgotten.
For many inmates, Christmas passes quietly, marked only by memories of life outside the prison walls. This visit changed that narrative. Faces lit up, emotions ran deep, and for a moment, the weight of confinement was softened by love in action.
What made the gesture even more powerful is its consistency. This was not a symbolic, one-off appearance. Pastor Elvis Agyeman and Lady Mercy Agyeman have made it a personal commitment to support the Nsawam Prison at least twice every year. They return again and again, not for recognition or applause, but because their faith demands action beyond words.

To the outside world, the support may look like donations. To the men and women behind bars, it was reassurance — that God still remembers them, that society has not completely turned its back, and that redemption and hope are still possible.
This is leadership lived out, not announced. This is the Gospel moving beyond sermons into real human spaces. This is kindness stepping boldly into forgotten corners with open hands and open hearts.
As the season of Christmas reminds the world of giving, the actions of Pastor Elvis Agyeman and Lady Counselor Mercy Agyeman stand as a powerful example that the true meaning of Christmas is not found in what we receive, but in what we are willing to give — even behind prison walls.
