Etornam of Volta Crowned Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2025 – A Night Of Grace, Culture And Triumph

In a glittering celebration of culture, intelligence and grace at the Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2025 Grand Finale held on Sunday, 19 October 2025 at the National Theatre, Accra, it was Isabella Etornam Gagblezu, representing the Volta Region, who emerged as the new queen — a crowning moment that resonated far beyond pageantry.

From the moment she took the stage, Etornam’s presence stood out: poised, culturally rooted and determined. Her final performance — a powerful dance and presentation showcasing Ewe heritage, complete with a stunning red gown and dignified poise — left no doubt in anyone’s mind. The crown of GMB 2025 was placed upon her head by outgoing queen Titiaka Sardar Aldagbor, the 2024 winner, and in that instant, Etornam joined the ranks of Ghana’s esteemed cultural ambassadors.

Etornam’s journey is as compelling as her victory. Born in Yeji and hailing from Mafi Dove in the Central Tongu District of the Volta Region, her early years were marked by significant challenges. She began formal schooling at 14, having experienced hardship — hawking, working as a tro-tro mate, growing up in a broken home — yet she never allowed circumstance to dictate her destiny.

Her academic path took her from Addiome Roman Catholic School to Madina Cluster JHS, then on to Adidome Senior High School, and subsequently to the Oxford Institute of Business & Journalism in Kumasi. Despite the late start, Etornam embraced her education and used it as a platform for growth.

Cultural representation at its finest: Throughout the competition, Etornam showcased the rich tapestry of Ewe traditions — from the weaving of Ewe kete to the rhythms of Agbadza and Atrikpui war-dance sequences. Her storytelling and performance brought the Volta Region’s heritage alive on the national stage.

A model of resilience: In an era when many face setbacks, Etornam’s narrative of starting school late, rising through adversity, and becoming a beacon for others is deeply inspiring. She has already spoken of wanting to launch an Early Childhood Education initiative, to ensure children — regardless of background — have access to quality schooling.

Milestone for the Volta Region: Etornam becomes the third winner from the Volta Region in the history of Ghana’s Most Beautiful, sealing the region’s reputation for producing culturally astute and impressive ambassadors.

As the new queen of GMB, Etornam will carry the mantle of cultural advocacy, youth empowerment and regional development over the coming year. With her combined passions for heritage and education, many will be watching how she channels her influence into tangible projects — particularly those centred on the Volta Region’s youth, especially girls.

She also walks away with the crown, the title, a new car and the chance to leverage the platform for meaningful impact.

While Etornam takes the top spot, the Grand Finale night was a celebration of all the contestants: from the Ashanti Region’s Nana, the Upper East’s Asakia, Greater Accra’s Adjorkor, to Bono-East’s Nana — each brought their culture, intelligence and elegance. The competition was fierce, the stage set ablaze with colour and pride, and in the end, Etornam’s all-round performance set her apart.

Ghana celebrates not just a beauty queen, but a story of triumph, culture and purpose. Etornam’s win reminds us that pageantry need not be superficial — when harnessed well, it becomes a vehicle for heritage, inspiration and social good. From the heart of Volta, she rises — and Ghana embraces her.

Congratulations, Queen Etornam — may your reign be one of vision, service and pride.
