Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has released his squad for Ghana’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against the Central African Republic (C.A.R) and Comoros — and the list comes with a strong mix of experience, youth, and returning fan favourites.
In goal, Lawrence Ati Zigi (St. Gallen) retains his spot as the likely first-choice keeper, backed by local shot-stopper Benjamin Asare from Accra Hearts of Oak and Joseph Anang of St. Patrick’s Athletic.
The defensive department is packed with reliable options. Stade Rennais full-back Alidu Seidu leads the line alongside Alexander Djiku, now with Spartak Moscow. Mohammed Salisu (AS Monaco) and Gideon Mensah (AJ Auxerre) return to bolster the backline, while FC Basel’s Jonas Adjetey and FC Nordsjaelland youngster Caleb Yirenkyi add fresh legs and energy. Ebenezer Annan (AS Saint-Étienne) and Kojo Peprah Oppong (OGC Nice) complete a solid defensive list.

In midfield, Otto Addo maintains his trust in Villarreal’s Thomas Partey and Tottenham Hotspur star Mohammed Kudus — both expected to control the tempo of Ghana’s play. They are joined by Elisha Owusu (Auxerre), Kwasi Sibo (Real Oviedo), and Medeama SC’s Prince Owusu, whose inclusion brings a local league presence into the engine room.
The attacking lineup is buzzing with flair and goal-scoring promise. Leicester City’s Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and Jordan Ayew headline the list alongside LA Galaxy winger Joseph Paintsil. Atlético Bilbao forward Iñaki Williams and Bournemouth striker Antoine Semenyo are expected to provide firepower upfront. Rising star Christopher Bonsu Baah (Al-Qadsiah) and Atalanta’s Kamaldeen Sulemana add speed and unpredictability on the flanks.
