Article Wan and Shatta Wale

Ghanaian musician and record producer Bright Homenya, popularly known as Article Wan, has urged Ghanaians to separate Shatta Wale’s personality from his talent, emphasizing that the dancehall star's character is an integral part of his craft.

Speaking in an exclusive one-on-one interview on the Daybreak Hitz morning show with DJ Slim on Hitz 103.9 FM, Article Wan highlighted that the Ghanaian music industry often focuses too much on artists' personal lives instead of their musical contributions.

"Shatta Wale’s character is part of his craft. Instead of dwelling on his personality, people should focus on the talent he brings to the industry. He has consistently put Ghana on the map," he stated.

Shatta Wale, known for his controversial statements and outspoken personality, has often found himself in the middle of industry debates. While some fans criticize his approach, others argue that his boldness is what has made him a household name in African music.

Article Wan, who has collaborated with Shatta Wale in the past, believes that his colleague's strong persona is what sets him apart. "Many international artists have unique characters that make them stand out. That doesn’t take away their greatness. Shatta is no different," he added.

The discussion about separating an artist’s talent from their personality has been ongoing in the entertainment industry, both in Ghana and globally. With Shatta Wale’s consistent success and influence, it remains to be seen whether more industry players will adopt Article Wan’s perspective.
