President John Dramani Mahama has appointed actor and entrepreneur John Dumelo as the Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture in his administration. The appointment comes as part of a broader set of nominations aimed at strengthening the Mahama-Opoku-Agyemang government.

Dumelo, who has been actively involved in politics and agribusiness in recent years, is expected to bring his expertise and passion for the agricultural sector to the ministry. His role will involve supporting policies to improve food production, enhance agribusiness opportunities, and address challenges within Ghana’s agricultural sector.

In addition to Dumelo, 13 other individuals have been nominated for various deputy ministerial positions. Among them is renowned lawyer Justice Srem Sai, who has made significant contributions to legal advocacy and governance in the country.

The appointments signal the government’s commitment to assembling a dynamic team to drive national development. Ghanaians will be looking forward to how these newly appointed leaders contribute to the administration’s agenda in the coming months.
