| Argument between Luis Campos, Neymar and Marquinhos after PSG defeat |
Monaco's 3-1 win over PSG went down very badly amongst Christophe Galtier's players. So much so that, 'L'Equipe' reports that there was an argument between sporting director Luis Campos and some players including Neymar and Marquinhos.
PSG fans are not happy with their team's recent performances. So far in 2023, Galtier's men have lost three Ligue 1 fixtures, the latest was against Monaco on Satruday. They also lost 3-1 to Lens on New Year's Day and 1-0 to Rennes on 15th January.
There was frustration among PSG's players after the latest defeat and not just amongst the players. According to 'L'Equipe', there was an argument between some players and sporting director Luis Campos.
Campos accused some footballers of a "lack of aggressiveness" and some of the PSG players took exception to that. Marquinhos and Neymar made it clear to him that that was not the case.
The French paper says the heated discussion was in Portuguese, a language which Luis Campos, Marquinhos and Neymar all speak. Voices were raised and some members of the club were surprised by the tone of the conversation..
No one involved has gone public about what happened, but 'L'Equipe' have explained what they believe to have happened.
Mbappe, who is injured, sent a message to the fine. "Let's stay strong and united," he wrote on social media. And a Champions League last 16 first leg clash with Bayern Munich is next for the Parisians on Tuesday.
