This annual event, aimed at promoting the well-being of students and the surrounding community, saw a large turnout of students, faculty, and residents. The health walk, which covered several kilometers of the town, was organized to encourage physical activity and highlight the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Participants were excited about the initiative, using the opportunity to exercise while enjoying the scenic beauty of their environment.
In addition to the health walk, a comprehensive health screening was organized to provide valuable medical services to market women. Led by the final year nursing student and volunteer medical staff conducted screenings for various health conditions, including blood pressure checks, and other vital health assessments. The goal was to raise awareness about the importance of regular health checkups and empower the community with the knowledge to take control of their health. The screening was open to both students and residents, making it an inclusive initiative that benefitted everyone.
This event served as a reminder of the crucial role that institutions like Modal College play in fostering community health and well-being. It also exemplified the college’s commitment to holistic student development, which goes beyond academics to include physical, mental, and social well-being.
By combining exercise with healthcare services, the college celebrated its SRC Week and made a positive impact on the health of its students and the local community. The event was well-received and set a precedent for future health initiatives at the college.
