Paris Saint-Germain unveils new home kit for 2022-23 season

French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain have launched their new Nike home kit for the 2022/2023 season, which features a twist on the club’s classic look and two brand new sponsors.

Paris Saint-Germain’s kits last season were made by Nike’s Jordan brand, but the Nike swoosh now returns.

The iconic red stripe with white trim, known as the Hechter stripe after designer Daniel Hechter played an influential role in the club’s early days, was ditched in the 2021/2022 season in favour of a basketball-inspired jersey. It is back, but the fresh twist is that is has been reversed for white with red trim.

Qatar Airways appears as the main front of shirt sponsor for the first time, replacing French hotel brand Accor, while lifestyle platform GOAT features as the sleeve sponsor.

Superstars such as Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Grace Geyoro, Celin Bizet and more appeared in a kit launch that featured a nice balance of male and female players.
